Union Soldier Officer Coffin Origcivil War PhotographI purchased an album full of original photographs that once belonged to the coffin or coffen family. This is an original photograph of mr. Coffin and i believe he was a soldier or officer in the civil war. The family i purchased the photo's from were not related to the coffin family but told me that the family originally were from maine, new york and connecticut. This photograph has no idenitfication or name on it. It is hard backed (like a cabinet photo) and has a very fine thin band of gold gilt along edges. tI measures approx. 4 and 1/8 x 6 and 1/2. It is ni very good condition with no rips, no tears, no bends. It does have some light spotting in particular at the top left poriton but nothing major. Image is sharp and clear.
